The finest outdoor recreational facilities in the south central United States are located in our area:  Kentucky Dam Village State Park, Lake Barkley State Park and Land Between the Lakes.   In the lake area one is provided golf, boating, camping, swimming, fishing, hunting and many other activites.

Calvert City has three city parks providing playground activities, pedestrian trails, picnic areas, softball, baseball, basketball, tennis and soccer facilities.  A 5,000 square foot community building known as the Calvert City Civic Center is provided for year round use.  This facility is available to the public for private use on a lease basis.
